We are now experts in moving ice

Before we all leave here comes the RECAP team of the second period: Bo & Jakob, Steff & Sarah, Lizzie, Anders, Jan & Trevor, Niccolò & Andrea.

Packing continued and camp is slowly being cleared. Still the generator tent, the freezer, and the kitchen tents are intact, but as soon as the ice gets out of here we will take down the freezer and pack the rest.

In the afternoon we were expecting Polar 6 to arrive, but due to technical issues the mission was cancelled twice. For us it was a good training mission and we now have an efficient procedure allowing us to move 1 ton of ice core boxes from the freezer to the apron in 8 minutes and back again in 10 min. We hope to see Polar 6 up here tomorrow morning instead.

Weather: Warm, sunny, and calm. Temperatures -3 to +2°C, wind 1-4 m/s from N.
