Postdoctoral Fellowship: Experimental Aspects of Nonlocality in Majorana Systems
The Niels Bohr Institute is seeking outstanding experimentalists for a postdoctoral fellowship to explore nonlocal properties of Majorana systems based on superconductor-semiconductor hybrid materials. Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Physics or Applied Physics with relevant experimental experience and a publication record within their field.
We are seeking outstanding experimentalists for a postdoctoral fellowship to explore nonlocal properties of Majorana systems based on superconductor-semiconductor hybrid materials.
The project is sponsored through an ERC Synergy grant and will take place at the Center for Quantum Devices, at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Physics or Applied Physics with relevant experimental experience and a publication record within their field.
The project involves low-temperature physics experiments in cryofree dilution refrigerators, low-noise and high-frequency electrical measurement techniques, nanofabrication, data analysis, interaction with theoretical physicists, and scientific writing.
The position is open from October 1st 2021 or by arrangement. The duration is two years with possible extension upon mutual agreement.
Description of the scientific environment
The Center for Quantum Devices is a research center within the Niels Bohr Institute comprising materials research, experimental solid-state physics, quantum nanoelectronics, and condensed matter theory. The Center provides a vibrant scientific environment with cutting-edge research performed across many different groups in fundamental condensed matter physics, with a particularly strong linkage between materials, experiment, and theory.
