Title: Device-independent quantum information processing

“Device-independent quantum information processing is a paradigm for quantum information applications in which devices are seen as quantum black boxes processing classical information. Because of this minimalistic description, protocols in this scenario are self-certified, which makes them especially relevant for cryptographic applications. The talk presents an overview of the device-independent quantum information scenario: the motivations for it, the role of Bell nonlocality, the tools that make it possible, a quick discussion of some of the existing protocols, and the experimental challenges that one has to face.”
