Title: NeuroPulse, a coupled experimental-numerical approach to the
study of electromechanical properties of neurons
Abstract: NeuroPulse is a new EPSRC University of Oxford led
initiative aimed at studying the electrophysiological-mechanical coupling
in neurons. The overall approach involves a coupled experimental-numerical
programme focussed on the development of a multiscale methodology (protein
to cell to organ) for the study of this phenomenon. In this talk, Prof.
Contera and Jerusalem will present the current tools and methods developed
in their respective groups that will be used for this project.
