Eugene Polzik’s research chosen as the year’s best by Ingeniøren

Ingeniøren (The Engineer) has chosen Eugene Polzik’s research on teleporation as the year’s most important Danish research results in science. Eugene Polzik is the head of the research group Quantop at the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen.

The winner of Science’s Top 5 is Professor Eugene Polzik at the Niels Bohr Institute.

”Eugene Polzik is a driving force in making teleporation a practical science. Polzik’s groop is a world leader in quantum communication and quantum information processing. The researchers have developed a method that can teleport quantum states from one atomic cloud to another using laser beams. The method works every single time, unlike other methods that only have a certain chance of working. Their lastest results are significant for future quantum networks and the processing of quantum information,” states Ingeniørens (The Engineer’s) explanation for the award.
