In general, the geographic distribuion of gall midges is poorly known, so new records from areas well outside known ranges should be considered valuable. Two species, Dasineura genianae and Dasineura saxifragae, are recorded for the first ime in the Iberian Peninsula, while Rabdophaga rosaria is found as new to Spain. Contarinia nasturii is reported for the first ime in Southern Spain, while the remaining five species are found as new to various provinces within Andalucía. In addiion, the specialist parasitoid Platygaster dryomyiae (Hymenoptera: Platygastridae) is recorded for the first ime in the south of the Iberian Peninsula.
