Title: Science and Art Collaboration: Communicating Quantum Physics through art

Abstract: This talk gives an overview of the "SciArt" science communication project within the Collaborative Research Center ISOQUANT in Heidelberg, Germany. The CRC ISOQUANT investigates quantum systems under extreme conditions, asking related questions for different platforms. As part of our research collaboration, we embarked on a multifaceted science communication project aimed at fostering engagement and understanding among diverse audiences. One central aspect was the development of a Science and Art collaborative project, during which we hosted two artist residencies, exploring the intersections of art and science.

The goal of this project was to make the complex world of quantum physics accessible and captivating. Through sharing our experiences, successes, and challenges, this presentation illuminates the impact and importance of effective science communication in bridging the gap between researchers, artists and the community.
