Brian Møller Andersen receive the Jens Martin Award 2025

Brian Møller Andersen receives the award for his inspiring and humorous teaching in the compulsory bachelor course “Statistical Physics (StatFys).”

The Jens Martin Knudsen Award is presented by the students and NBI’s Teaching Committee. The award includes an operating grant of 10,000 DKK. The reasoning for this year’s award to Brian is this:

“Brian is highly respected among the students—not only for his academic competence, but also for his kind nature and his ability to bring humor into the lecture hall. In his lectures, he succeeds in conveying physical intuition and putting things into perspective, so that the students leave with a far deeper understanding of the material than they could gain from reading alone.

In the course evaluation, one student writes: ‘Brian is an absolutely fantastic lecturer and teacher. It has been a true pleasure […]. You really feel welcomed; there is a wonderful learning environment, and Brian is simply a very pleasant person. It is clear that he cares deeply about making the course good, rewarding, and stimulating—and he absolutely succeeds in doing so.’”

We thank Brian for his dedication and hard work.
