Title: Integrability of the surface defect in N = 4 SYM
Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the integrability properties of the Gukov-Witten surface defect in N=4 SYM. Precisely, we demonstrate that the ordinary Gukov-Witten defect is integrable only in special subsectors of the theory, while the rigid Gukov-Witten defect is integrable in the full scalar sector with a special parameter. In the integrable (sub)sectors, we study the one-point functions which in the spin chain language are given by the overlaps between the associated boundary states and Bethe eigenstates. I will show the compact expressions of these overlaps at tree level and reveal the potential to extend them to all-loop level.
