Title: Bootstrapping pi and rho meson scattering at large N
Abstract: At large number of colours N, QCD becomes a theory of asymptotically stable hadrons, with mesons forming a closed subsector. The scattering amplitudes involving these mesons become meromorphic functions with poles at the masses of exchanged mesons and residues proportional to squared three-point couplings. This provides a clear target for the S-matrix bootstrap, where the goal is to constrain the data describing these amplitudes, ultimately searching for the unique theory of large-N QCD. In this talk will review previous work on pion scattering in this context, and then present results from ongoing work on rho meson scattering. Our bounds feature a set of kinks in the boundary of the allowed region which are saturated by amplitudes exhibiting many of the expected features of a confining gauge theory
