An Australian Antarctic Division helicopter hovering above the Mt Brown South skiway.

Yesterday we were visited by three aircraft - two helicopters and a Basler. The helicopters brought Paulie, who will be joining us as field assistant for the rest of the season. The Basler was flying a radar survey for the Icecap program, which will provide information about the ice conditions beneath the drill site and where the ice flows from.

Drilling continues well, today we passed 250m and we are making good progress to achieve our target depth of 300m this weekend. We wait for good weather to allow another day of surface science, including a Kovacs firn core and snowpit.

Weather approximately -25C at night, -15C during the day, Winds regularly 25-35kt from the east.
