The upper part of the borehole was temperature logged a second time in order to get the best possible estimate of the significant recent warming of the ice cap. Then the first boxes of drilling and science equipment were packed, documented, and placed on the cargo line ready to be picked up by Polar 6 aircraft next week.

This morning a broken exhaust pipe was exchanged on one generator. Johannes snow pit from the first half of the season was cleared for snow in order to recover the tent insolation it was covered by. Otherwise we enjoy the luxury of being awake during the day and sleep at night.

Weather: Summer has arrived to Renland with sunshine and temperatures approaching the melting point. Excellent weather for outdoor work, and for drying and packing equipment. Temperatures -2°C to -8°C, wind 0-3 m/s from NNW and SW.
