Title: Wave Mechanics and Cosmic Structure
 
Abstract:
Recently there has been a resurgence of interest in the idea, originally raised in a seminal paper by Widrow & Kaiser (1993) that the  equations describing the evolution of a self-gravitating fluid can be rewritten in the form of a Schrodinger equation coupled to a Poisson equation determining the gravitational potential. In this talk I’ll discuss some of the merits of this idea and explain why they are of topical interest, for example for problems in redshift-space reconstruction, and I'll also describe some work in progress on the application to cosmic voids.
