The 5th Scandinavian meeting on gravitational-wave science
The Scandinavian community has been producing exciting results in the field and met for the 5th Meeting on Gravitational Wave Science in Scandinavia on May 15 and 16 at the University of Copenhagen.
The gravitational physics landscape has been evolving rapidly, driven in good part by our ability to study strong-field regions, in particular black holes, with gravitational waves. Gravitational-wave astronomy will celebrate a decade of existence in 2025, and with it we celebrate a revolution in physics. The Scandinavian community has been producing exciting results in the field and met for the 5th Meeting on Gravitational Wave Science in Scandinavia on May 15 and 16 at the University of Copenhagen.
The meeting was part of a series which started in 2019 and is now a vibrant gathering to discuss instruments, astrophysics and fundamental science made possible by the next generation of detectors.
The meeting was organized by the Strong Group and the Center of Gravity at the Niels Bohr Institute and we met with more than 70 registered participants at the Southern campus of the University of Copenhagen on May 15-16, 2025.
