Quantum microwave photonics
In this talk I will review our work with propagating quantum microwaves in superconducting circuits. The talk revolves around the notion of ultrastrong coupling and how this is achieved between superconducting qubits and propagating photons. I will review non-perturbative methods that we use to study these systems [2] and how we apply them for the characterization of actual experiments [1]. The talk will close with some ideas on the limitations of current spectroscopic methods and how we can improve them to learn about multiphoton processes [3].
