Theory of subradiant states of one-dimensional two-level atom chain

Recently, A. Asenjo-Garcia, A. Albrecht et al. numerically discovered a series of universal scalings for the subradiant states of one-dimensional two-level atom chains coupled to light, and an unexpected result that the most subradiant states of the multi-excitation sector are built from the one-excitation subradiant states in a fermionic manner, rather than bosonic. We developed a theory for these observations. Particularly, the subradiant states are found to have close connection with the Lieb-Liniger model and Tonks-Girardeau gas. Exceptions beyond fermionic ansatz are also found.
