Quantum photonics with non-classical light from the solid-state

Generating non-classical states of light constitutes a primer goal in optical quantum technologies. In this talk, I will discuss the various types of non-classical light generated from solid-state quantum emitters: from efficient and indistinguishable single-, and multi-photon sources, to on-demand entangled states of photon-numbers. Moreover, I will describe resource-efficient multi-photon protocols exploiting spatial and temporal degrees-of-freedom, thus far enabling the programmable interference of up to 8 photons. To conclude, I will discuss the prospects and scale of experiments within reach.
