Shaped laser pulses for quantum dot control

Shaped laser pulses have been remarkably effective in investigating and controlling various light-matter interactions in a broad area of research. In quantum technologies, the techniques for spectro-temporal control of laser pulses have found a renewed interest, for instance in coherent control of quantum emitters and spectrotemporal mode shaping in parametric down coversion sources and so on. In this talk, I will navigate through the impact of pulse shaping techniques in nanospectroscopy and how it paved the way for efficient state preparation protocols in quantum dots, based on our recent works [1].
