Quantum Optics Seminar: Nicolò Spagnolo, Sapienza Università di Roma
Quantum information processing with integrated photonic technologies
Photonic implementation of quantum information protocols represents one of the most promising platforms, due to the intrinsic properties of photonic information carriers. In recent years, several developments have led to implementation of photonic systems with progressively increasing size, exploiting different degrees of freedom as well as different platform. One of the main approaches involve exploiting integrated photonics technologies, providing the capability to implement complex optical networks in a compact, stable and reconfigurable fashion. In this seminar we will discuss recent implementations of quantum information protocols with integrated photonics performed at the Quantum Lab of Sapienza Università di Roma, showing their application in different fields such as quantum computing and sensing.
