This report analyzes cooperation, networks, data needs, and regional identity among municipalities in the Finger Plan area, with reference to §5i 1-2 of the Planning Act. According to this act, municipal planning in the capital region must be based on an assessment of the area's overall development and ensure that the main principles of the overarching finger city structure, as formulated in the Finger Plan, are maintained. The purpose of the report is to uncover the practices of inter-municipal cooperation in the Finger Plan area, their perception of the region as a whole, and the position of each municipality within this whole, as well as their use of data and needs for data and other support from state authorities. The study was conducted through interviews with responsible planners in 12 selected and complementary municipalities in the Finger Plan area and an automated content analysis in the latest municipal plans of the 34 municipalities in the region, focusing on the identification and categorization of collaboration partners and themes.
