Detecting human behavior through chess analysis

Enrico Maria fenoaltea (NBI)

Decision making refers to situations where individuals have to select a course of action among multiple alternatives, examples are present in economics, management, politics etc. In board games, such as chess, players in turn select their next move among a set of possible continuations. By analyzing human decisions in chess and comparing them with those of the strongest chess engines, it is possible to detect the human deviations from rationality.
