Report from visit to Max Planck Institute (MPI) Göttingen - Subsampling challenges on online networks
Ulrik Hvid, PhD Student at the Biocomplexity Group, Niels Bohr Insitute, Copenhagen

In this talk, Ulrik reports back on his stay at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organisation in Göttingen. Here he has collaborated with the Infodemics group on analyzing their new dataset containing almost 5 billion messages on the social messaging platform Telegram - currently the biggest dataset of its kind.
He will discuss the challenges of inferring the network statistics based on a sample that is collected by snowball-sampling and show some preliminary results.
