Title: On gravity and the uncertainty principle

Abstract: I present a number of derivations of the so-called gravitational uncertainty principle (GUP) found by Maggiore (arXiv:9301067) and by Adler et al. (arXiv:9904026). I then discuss how the application of these results may modify standard calculations of black hole entropy and evaporation, as proposed by Alder et al. (arXiv:0106080).
