Title: EFTs fot LHC present and future runs
Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the phenomenological applications of effective field theories for the present LHC physics analysis programme, focusing on the set of Higgs and diboson processes, with special emphasis on the study of triple and quartic gauge couplings. In particular I will focus on the (more) model-independent approach of bottom-up EFTs. I will discuss how the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) can be used to parametrise new physics that might be accessible at LHC, at energies well below those where the new resonances are expected to appear.
