Title: Bridging the gap between classical and quantum spins
Abstract: While application of amplitude techniques to obtain higher order PN and/or PM corrections of stellar binary dynamics has become an active research project in the recent years, the programme has been somewhat limited to the dynamics of non-spinning bodies in general relativity. Incorporating spin into this programme means we use quantum spin variables to describe the dynamics of classical spin variables, and for this description to be useful the spin needs to be finite but allowed to have arbitrarily large values in units of Planck's constant. How such a treatment is possible by combining different tools will be reviewed in this talk.
