Title:  Single-valued integration and superstring amplitudes

Abstract:  In this mostly expository talk, we will discuss some recent work of Brown--Dupont on single-valued integration. In the context of genus zero (aka ``tree-level'') superstring amplitudes, this gives a conceptual explanation of the KLT relations expressing closed string tree-level amplitudes as squares of open ones. If time permits, we indicate how single-valued integration in genus one may look like.
