Title: Non-Relativistic Behavior of 1PM Potentials

Andrea PlacidiAbstract: Scattering amplitudes allow us to compute two-body effective potentials which describe the conservative dynamics of binary systems, particularly relevant for gravitational wave physics. This is customary accomplished within the Post-Minkowskian (PM) perturbative framework, where only a weak-field condition is assumed, without restrictions to the typical velocity of the system. Through a non-relativistic expansion such results can be compared to what has been found in the vastly employed Post-Newtonian (PN) scheme, where also small velocities are requested. Since in general the expression of PM potentials depends on some arbitrary choices, we tried to play with them and find a way to better match PN results. In the talk, after a brief introduction to the subject I will present our result for the 1PM potential (i.e. at first order in the PM expansion).
