Title: Chiral phase transition in the Gross-Neveu model

Abstract: The Gross-Neveu model is a 2d theory of interacting fermions sharing many features with QCD. Such as asymptotic freedom, chiral symmetry breaking and dimensional transmutation. It also has a rich phase diagram, undergoing spontaneous crystallization at large densities of baryon charge. The model is exactly solvable with a precisely known particle content, spectrum, and scattering S-matrix, and its thermodynamics can be studied by Bethe Ansatz. The BA methods can be used to elucidate the nature of the crystalline phase at high densities.
