Title: Analyzing 3D conformal field theories on S^2 x R: icosahedron, fuzzy sphere, and conformal perturbation theory
Abstract: Recently, condensed matter ideas originating from the quantum hall effect allowed a novel way of studying numerically 3D CFTs such as the critical 3D Ising model. We will review these developments (known as "fuzzy sphere regulator"), as well as related toy models. We will describe how conformal perturbation theory can extend the reach of this new tool.
