Richard Brito, Xiao Xue and Enrico Cannizzaro visit the Strong Group

Richard Brito from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and Xiao Xue from University of Hamburg and DESY visited us for a couple of weeks from October 2, 2022 for a collaboration on hunting metric perturbations of superradiant cloud.

They both gave talks at our group meetings, about using pulsar timing array to detect gravitational waves and a review on gravitational waves from ultralight bosons.

Enrico Cannizzaro was a visiting PhD student for a month in September/October 2022. Enrico is doing his PhD studies in Rome "La Sapienza" exploring the physics of plasmas around black holes. He is specially interested in understanding the development of superradiant instabilities in the presence of astrophysical environments.
